Geely Galaxy released: and Li Auto "on the bar", in addition to L7, there are L9 and L6

On February 23rd, at the main venue of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Geely Automobile’s mid-to-high-end new energy series Galaxy New Energy Strategy Conference was held as scheduled, and the first model Galaxy 1234567 also made its debut.

At the press conference, the Geely Galaxy series also announced the brand’s new logo. Unexpectedly, Geely Galaxy did not continue to use Geely’s shield-shaped logo, but adopted a rectangular hexagonal design. Although it looks slightly different from our previous impression of Geely, it is also in line with the simple style of new energy vehicles.

According to Geely Automobile CEO Gan Jiayue, with the release of the Geely Galaxy brand, Geometry brand has also returned to Geely. Coupled with Geely China Star high-end models, Geely brand will form three major product sequences in the future.

In the field of fuel vehicles, new Chinese members such as Xingrui and Xingyue L, as well as traditional fuel vehicles such as Emgrand and Boyue L, continue to maintain Geely Automobile’s high share in the traditional fuel vehicle market.

The Galaxy series, which adopts new design concepts, new images and new technologies, is mainly targeting the domestic new energy vehicle market priced at 20-300,000 yuan. New energy vehicle brands including BYD, Great Wall and some new car-making forces will also be Geely Galaxy’s future opponents.

As for the geometric brand, it is mainly targeting the popular pure electric vehicle market. In the later stage, there should be no plug-in hybrid models, only the pure electric vehicle market.

In this way, whether it is traditional fuel vehicles, pure electric vehicles, or plug-in markets, Geely’s brand has also become perfect in terms of layout.

As a new brand under Geely Automobile, Geely Galaxy’s models will be divided into two series: pure electric E and electric hybrid L.

Geely Galaxy’s brand positioning is to produce only high-value new energy vehicles.

For a long time, Geely Automobile has always relied solely on price advantages to compete with joint venture brands, which is far less important than enhancing value.

So, more than a year ago, when Geely launched the high-end brand of China Star, Geely used the slogan "Fight for the value of Chinese auto brands".

Today, more than a year later, with the release of the mid-to-high-end new energy series Geely Galaxy, Geely Automobile also used the word "value".

The first to debut is the Geely Galaxy series prototype car Galaxy Light, which is positioned as a mid-to-large coupe.

Secondly, the Galaxy L7, which has received high market attention recently, is also the first mass-produced model of Geely Galaxy.

According to the plan, Geely Galaxy will launch seven new models in the next two years.

The pure electric E series consists of three models: E6, E7 and E8, of which the E7 is positioned as a pure electric SUV, and the other two models are all pure electric sedans.

In the fourth quarter of this year, the Galaxy E8 will be officially delivered.

The electric hybrid L series consists of four models: L5, L6, L7 and L9. Except for the L6 sedan, the other three models are SUVs. The L7 and L6 will be officially delivered in the second and third quarters of this year, respectively.

It seems that this time, Geely Auto is really "on the same page" as Li Auto. I’m just curious, why doesn’t Geely Galaxy have an L8?

There is no doubt that the launch of the Geely Galaxy brand will increase competition in the domestic new energy vehicle market.
